Description

The workshop aims is to provide a forum for in-depth discussion of current challenges in political economy, governance and public policymaking in turbulent times. We welcome theoretically informed and empirically grounded papers that consider Turkey in a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective. Papers from all social science disciplines using various methodologies (e.g. qualitative, qualitative, mixed) are welcome. We invite advanced papers as well as early drafts. We encourage submissions especially from younger scholars, ranging from advanced graduate students to early-career faculty members, who seek detailed feedback on their work.

Format

The workshop will take place on April 27, 2018. It is designed as a single-day event during which we will concentrate on a selection of papers. Each paper will have 10 minutes for presentation and 20 minutes for discussion initiated by a discussant who will then open the floor to the audience. For a fruitful discussion, we expect all participants to read papers in advance.

Application

Paper abstracts of circa 500 words together with a short author bio should be sent to m.keremcoban@u.nus.edu.

There is no registration fee. We will not be able to provide funding for travel and accommodation.
